Ostley House

we are here

Ostley House is an attractive Victorian house, situated in its own grounds, on the outskirts of Barrow, approximately two miles from the town centre. The Home has been extended and improved to offer first class residential accommodation.

Ostley House provides specialist care facilities for up to 44 residents of either sex with a sensory impairment over and under 65 years of age. We also offer residential accommodation for older people without sensory impairment.

Ostley House Residential Home is owned and run by Barrow & Districts Society for the Blind Ltd. We are an independent local, charitable organisation. We are not part of, nor funded by any national or regional charity.

Ostley House was established as a residential Home in 1964, since then over 2 million pounds has been spent in improving and extending our services.
